Our Easter Stroll

Since we didn't have church on Easter Sunday this year (due to General Conference--which was AMAZING!), we wanted to celebrate the beauty of the day by going on a nice stroll with my mommy over in Plainfield.

Here's my wonderful hubbie. Oh! and baby, too!

Relaxing together as a family on our front porch. It felt so sweet. It's nice to get a break from all our commitments once in a while. We really enjoyed calling family and letting them know how much we love them.

Link: Hey Mom, where did the Easter bunny go? I need more candy.
(what an expression)

My favorite thing to see...

Look at these great dads all taking care of their kids. Good job men. What a beautiful thing to see.

Wait a sec... where's my guy?

(j/k. he's the one taking the pics ;0)

Doesn't Vincent look so handsome?!

Little Owen. His skin looks so porcelain and smooth.

Ally, I love your spirit!

No, we were SO close!

Okay, so at the end of Crisco's birthday party I convinced everyone to stick around to play just one round of Guesstures (my favorite game). I totally thought that the girls would kick the boys' boo-tays. (Nichole and I are serious gamers, to say the least.) Little did I know, though, that the guys had some kind of ESP thing going on. I gotta give us ladies some credit, we did end the round tied with the boys. However, when we went into over-time the score ended totally lopsided: 8-12. So sad!

Here are the boys, holding their trophy and gloating in their win! Number one (not!).

The ladies.
(Sorry Miranda that you guys headed out before we took the group pics.)

BTW--next time, we are totally winning...I think.

Happy Birthday, My Little Christian!

I love you, baby!

The birthday boy. My Easter baby.
Born on April 12th, Easter Sunday. So sweet.

Crisco: Hey Mom, can we have this every day?
I love this stuff!

My sweetheart. He delighted in eating his own cake and loved making a huge mess. It's the only way to go on your 1st birthday.

Crisco: Hey Dad, ya want some! It's the bestest!

My Little Jezabelle

My first calico

What a sweetie she is. She loves to cuddle with me and always wants to sit in my lap, even when I'm feeding Christian. She's great with the kids. Very patient. Even though Christian is still learning how to be gentle (he's on his way, though. He already recognizes the sign when I use it!), she still goes back to him time and again to let him pet her. She loves Lincoln and lets him carry her all around the house. He is such a gentle boy. I am so proud of him.

I love girl kitties. They are so sweet. (Can't wait to see what girl babies are like... he he)

Her many nicknames:
Jezzie
Jezabellie
Jezzers

I love her coloring. Orange, white, and black. She's definitely a little fiery like her orange spots. Our 9 yo kitty Romeo gets intimidated by her when she goes to wrestle with him. Our first girl, Reina, was more his match. We're hoping one day Romeo and Jezzie will become good friends. That would be perfect.

Our St Patty's Photo Shoot

Okay, let's be honest: I like the flag, but the shadowing is not helping my physique and the positioning is backwards. However, I do love Christian's stoic face!

I look like a mother hen trying to collect her chicks.

Crisco: Really guys, are family photos that important? They're definitely not any fun!

Seriously, Christian's right. Jon and I decided that the next time we try to take family shots, we're not gonna worry if the little kids aren't posing perfectly, and just try to enjoy ourselves so that our smiles are actually genuine. Nothing is worse than off-camera bickering. he he. I laugh now, but it's the pits during. Anybody have any tricks of the trade?

The final four
(not too shabby :0)

Happy Birthday Grammy Trish!

In honor of your birthday, I put Christian in this shirt that you gave Lincoln when he was this age. I thought it looked adorable with the phrase "Little Prince". Apparently, Christian thought so too with that cute little pose at the top. Can't wait for you to meet the boys in May! I'm sorry it's taken so long. But at least we can look forward to the future. I hope you had a happy, happy birthday!!

A Shot Out to Gma T!

Gma T, Lincoln drew these smiley faces all by himself just for you! Hope you like 'em since you are the master of all smiley faces.
I had no idea he even knew how to do this. I love being a mom; it's so much fun when my kids surprise me with something new they can do. Even the simplest things make me so proud.

Happy Valentine's Day!

-from the spirited Willisons. so matchy, matchy!

(Jon, really. You shouldn't wear your high heels when we take family pictures. It makes me look like a midget! Mercy... It's like I've got my own Redwood tree growing in my house :0)
